The Maxxis Assegai tire takes its name from the iron-tipped spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. Greg Minnaar, originally from South Africa, thought it was an appropriate name for a gum ready to fight on the mountain. the high tread pierce dust and soil to find traction, but also offer support and safety on wet roots and rocks. While other tires excel only under certain conditions, the new Maxxis Assegai is built to go fast anywhere.
