Each "knurl" has a diamond shape with a sharp point, providing a strong grip, positive feedback and improved control. This texture is especially valued by riders for its aggressive feel and precise control. The Monarch grip inherited its shape from decades of experience in trying to hang on for dear life, followed by a lengthy 18-month design development process. During those 18 months, we interviewed more than 1,000 people about their likes and dislikes about knobs, tested countless knobs, and even set up our in-house 3D printing and casting lab to rapidly test and refine the finest details through hundreds of hours of testing, down to the last 0.25mm - seriously! The result is a knob design with a staggered, tapered core, tapered grip profile, soft 20A compound, thin 8mm clamp (for maximum grip area), distinctive and unique zigzag thumb pad provides distinctive pressure relief. high-grip finger bars (cut inward, not outward - this is important!), two texture options, and two thickness options.
