Drawing directly from its experience and know-how in Motorsport, Pirelli introduces a patented racing formulation into cycling, capable of guaranteeing maximum grip and smoothness on both dry and wet surfaces. The elongated shape of the Silica molecules, unlike the spherical molecular shape commonly used so far, allows for a new level of sophistication in the tread compound, resulting in improved handling due to the ability to orient the compound in the direction of rolling. Additionally, the enhancement of the mechanical resistance of the tread achieved through improved interaction of the Silica with other components (such as aramid fibers directly dispersed in the compound) increases protection against punctures and the durability of the rubber.
