Pirelli has added lignin to the specific E-bike compound called SmartGRIP Compound. Lignin is a chemical component of natural origin that improves the performance in light of the speeds and torques associated with the electric motors of E-mountain bikes. A new patented construction that improves driveability and protection from punctures at low pressures, key factors in off-road applications, especially in the more demanding ones such as gravity and e-MTB.
