The WCS C220 73D handlebar stem offers 17 of positive or negative rise. First tested on the Ritchey Trail handlebar stem, the C220 handlebar clamp design creates a more secure interface by completely wrapping the handlebar at 220. The bolt forces are aligned with the clamp so that the body of the handlebar stem 'hugs' the handlebar, which is less prone to damage to lightweight bars. This clamp design allows for a lighter front plate and stem body without sacrificing strength or stiffness.
