Specialized S-Works Shiv TT Module, for years, time trial bikes have been designed very similarly - flat and aerodynamic tubing, heavy and difficult-to-handle frames, often imprecise braking. For flat and fast courses, as was the norm once, these characteristics might have been acceptable. However, with today's technically demanding tracks, time trial bikes need to be different. We pushed the limits of UCI regulations by adding disc brakes, shaving weight, and refining the position.
